Welcome

Dear Parents, well-wishers and friends,

I thank you for visiting our website and welcome to St Peter’s Inter-College, Rohta.

Every educational institution is conceptualised and established with a special purpose, Motto, vision and mission, and the mission is to transform society and make it better predicated on values such as tolerance, justice and peace. Educational institutions also play a vital role in making human beings better human beings by infusing knowledge discipline and values, through educational activities. St. Peter’s Inter College, Rohta is established with the same purpose and motto.

Education is an important aspect of human life that has a huge influence on all of us. Education, according to Nelson Mandela, is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. It expands our vision, develops capabilities, and makes a person well-equipped to face the problem of life with equanimity and great aplomb.

In St. Peter’s Inter College, Rohta, we intend to create a special space for our children who will be given thorough grounding in academics juxtaposed with co-curricular activities, which are the hallmark of our institution. We will not be lagging behind in our caring for their social and emotional well-being.

With our motto ‘from darkness to light,’ we aim at the integral growth and development of each child entrusted to our care. We are dedicated to whetting and honing every aspect of your child’s personality that works towards nurturing the child into a well-equipped human being useful to the society.

Education, according to William Butler Yeats, is not the filling of a pale but lighting of a fire. Our well-equipped, trained and dedicated teachers will leave no stone unturned to light the fires of knowledge in your wards. They will be taught how to think, question, explore, reflect, and discover. Their uniqueness will be recognised, nurtured and treasured.

I am happy to be the founder Principal of the school. I believe my role as an educator is to guide and nurture the next generation, to establish skills in them, to achieve health, respect, prosperity, happiness, and fulfilment. I am passionate to use all the tools available to inspire the staff and students to promote students achievement and well-being. My paramount duty will be to make the staff and students feel valued and appreciated at school.

You are most welcome to share with us your perspectives, and contribute your mite to the growth of the school. Let us work closely with one another, support one another for the betterment of your wards.

Rev. Fr. Dr. Paul Thannickal
